The most unforgetable sung interpretation by a female voice of the traditional song "La Bamba" is unquestionable the version of Selena.

Of course, "La Bamba" is one of those collected and conserved traditional folk songs in the twentieth century, which are royalty and copyright free because they are traditionals with a far and uncertain origin like as example also "Guantanamera" or "Malaguena". These songs are not that difficult to learn on guitar because the chords and riffs are easy.

A fair and modern interpretation is given by Belle Perez, a Flemish singer/songwriter with Spanish roots, who mixes the song with the rock classic "Twist and Shout".
